Job summary
AWS Elemental is an Amazon Web Services company that combines deep video expertise with the power and scale of the cloud, and we are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join us on our AWS Elemental Media Transport team.
You will be responsible for developing media network transports for services that need to operate at an extreme scale with low latency, high reliability and unparalleled performance. As a software engineer on this team, you will dive deep into distributed media workflows, partner with AWS Elemental and other AWS service and platform teams, and deliver to our customers and partners a media network transport that will power their innovative workflows on the AWS platform.
In this role, you will contribute to all aspects of the software lifecycle: research, planning, design, experimentation, implementation, and testing. You’ll dive deep, experiment rapidly, and get things done. Key job responsibilities
In this role you will start with developing our front-end Amazon Web Services (AWS) console. We primarily use Java Script, AWS infrastructures, and other internal tooling to deliver our Front-end solutions. But your role will not limit to Front-end, you will also work on other Back-end service tasks to improve our operations. This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically one week every eight weeks. We rarely get paged after-hours as we aim for our solutions to be fault tolerant. We work together as a team to mitigate and resolve to prevent future occurrences.
