Job Description

See yourself at Twilio

Join the team as our next Senior Intranet Design Manager.

Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

This position is needed to conceptualize and design creative solutions that consistently and clearly communicate Twilio’s brand identity, positioning, and messaging through both internal and external channels including Switchboard, print collateral, external web, digital communications, email, social media, events, and internal marketing.

Our team is responsible for consistent interpretation and application of the Twilio brand internally to reinforce external impact and marketing strategies. We monitor target audience insights and business objectives to create a cohesive aesthetic across all platforms, specializing in internal art direction, internal communications, Switchboard front and back-end maintenance, and brand alliance.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Conceptualize and execute creative solutions for internal communications including our company intranet along with other digital products and platforms, executive presentations, illustrations, event campaigns, collateral, print communications, etc.
  • Lead our intranet design and expansion, UX/UI, governance and maintenance along with all related web channels.
  • Create a compelling, consistent, and connected content journey for the users, content taxonomy, information architecture, cross-linking strategy, and consistency as Switchboard evolves and navigation expands.
  • Lead and maintain our intranet’s front-end design and back-end development on pace with rapidly-changing Unily features and functionality.
  • Expand our intranet’s capabilities and services, i.e., broadcast center, search center, data configurations, and mobile experience.
  • Convey mission and values through work and attitude to live the Twilio Magic.

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • You’ve built intranet site layouts, custom widget development, HTML/CSS support, and CMS management.
  • You have expertise in CMS development, data configuration, and customization in Unily and in targeting, permissioning, and development.
  • You are a regular user of the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • You understand best practices and governance support for intranet maintenance.
  • You have experience in Digital Asset Management with organized and systematic cataloging.
  • You are comfortable working with and coordinating multiple shareholders to meet deadlines.

Desired:

  • 8+ years of experience with success in brand building through digital and print design.
  • Proficient in GSuite, Microsoft Office programs, and Slack.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS programming.

Location
