Program Manager Modernization (Hybrid)

Job Description BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a Stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Program Manager at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, TN to join our Modernization team.
The Program Manager is responsible for Profit/Loss, and the execution and financial management of projects in excess of $50M in value. This position will report to the Senior Program Manager of the Explosive Projects Portfolio.
Specific responsibilities for the Program Manager include:

• Coordination of all functional departments and the customer in preparation of program plans, project reports and overall program performance
• Financial, schedule and risk performance
• Solves complex technical problems by providing leadership for developing project plans and their implementation
• Oversees Risk/Opportunity Management
• Serves as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for subcontractors and stakeholders, providing leadership and direction to ensure project completion on time and within budget constraints
• Prepares cost estimates and establishes budgets for the project work elements
• Partners with the Procurement Department to obtain bid quotations from subcontract and materials suppliers
• Develops and presents Requests for Bid Approval and other formal business actions
• Develops project schedules, work packages and execution plans
• Supports the preparation of cost estimates and establishes budgets for the project work elements
• Project Integration
• Change management – managing change with the customer and supply base
• Earned Value Management reporting and analysis
• Participate in proposals, business development, business area support, or other activities outside of regular program roles as assigned

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Chemistry or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Eight (8) years relevant experience to include managing cross-functional teams to deliver commitments, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working within projects on design and engineering, design-build, construction, or engineer-procure-construct (EPC) projects with a concentration in the defense or industrial sector

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Demonstrated experience managing project P&L / Financial commitments
• Demonstrated experience working with Earned Value Management
• Demonstrated subcontract management experience
• Experience in managing projects for the US Department of Defense
• Experience in managing construction projects or construction engineering
• Experience in chemical manufacturing
