The candidate will support mechanical system design, perform equipment verification & validation, estimate budgets and schedules, assist with qualification testing, and support delivered test equipment within the Mechanical Power Conversion (MPC) division of Collins Aerospace. The test equipment is utilized for production, R&D, and qualification testing of cutting-edge military and commercial aerospace products including fuel pumps, air turbine starters and blowers, engine and air frame gearboxes, and lube and scavenge pumps.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Support test equipment activities including test stand estimation, design, creation, automation, and checkout/verification.

· Development and documentation of performance, design, calibration and maintenance requirements for test stands.

· Retrieve and organize data to help drive new test stand designs, focusing on hardware commonality and critical spare assessments.

· Update tools and documentation for test equipment activities.

· Support ongoing test stand builds, documenting status and hurdles to completion.

· Research, specify, and procure test equipment components

· Coordinate with cross-functional teams from engineering, quality, and operations to design and implement engineering and qualifications tests on new or modified mechanical products.

Basic Qualifications:
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:

· PLC and/or LabVIEW programming experience

· Use of drafting tools such as AutoCAD and NX by Siemens
