Robert Bosch Automotive Steering LLC seeks a System Engineer-Safety at its facility located at 15000 N Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. Confirm the definition of system architecture of one or more functional domains from the perspective of the functional safety requirements. Develop Functional safety requirements and functional decomposition. Create the functional safety concept for the relevant system, hardware, and software according to ISO 26262 or similar standards. Develop and release the preliminary Hazard Analysis, where necessary. Lead cross-functional teams to define the Safety goals, safety concept, and Technical Safety requirements. Responsible for release activities for these work products. Work with cross-functional teams to develop DFMEA and FTA for the relevant system/domain. Work with cross-functional teams to manage Safety requirements from customer requirements level to verification and validation following the VModel development process. Support functional safety validation tests such as HiL, SiL and Vehicle-level Tests. Define functional safety interfaces between project partners. Generate Development Interface Agreements (DIAs) with Customer and other necessary functional safety information for supplier systems/components. Plan and guide external and internal safety audits and safety assessments per ISO 26262 and ASPICE guidelines. Interface with customers as well as internal departments in regards of all safety relevant topics. REQS: This position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering, plus 3 years of professional work experience in automotive Engineering domain. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1). Functional Safety Standards, specifically ISO26262; (2). Failure Mode analysis using DFMEA, FTA; (3). Requirement Management in DOORs; (4). System Architecture in Enterprise Architect (EA); (5). Vehicle Communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD; and (6). Product development methodologies based on ASPICE and TS-16949 guidelines. Apply below.
