Cyber Security Engineer

Key Role:

Work as a Cyber Security Engineer to fulfill the Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) position for the customer and their systems in coordination with contract and government Information System Security Managers (ISSM) and Information System Security Officers (ISSO). Lead cybersecurity design and engineering efforts with the architecture and development teams for a large, distributed, hybrid cloud, enterprise IT mission system. Analyze risk mitigation plans, project plans with milestones, developing white papers, diagrams, and any other required artifact in support of the A&A and XACTA process. Ensure requirements are effectively integrated into the system thru purposeful security architecture, design, development, and configuration. Coordinate changes or modifications with the appropriate Information System Security Manager (ISSM). Implement and enforce all DoD cybersecurity policies and procedures, as defined by cybersecurity-related documentation. Perform the documenting, monitoring, updating, and managing systems to maintain an acceptable security posture and to achieve an Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) and Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) across the various local and deployed locations.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience working as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) or Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) or Information Assurance Manager (IAM) or Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)
• 4 years of experience with guiding a client through the entire Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
• Experience with achieving overall system certification, accreditation, assessment, and authorization, including IATT's and ATO's
• Knowledge of RMF, DIACAP, and NIST SP 800-37
• Knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions
• Knowledge of common base-level, including Air Force communication, and IT systems
• Top Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• IAT Level II including, Security + and Security + CE Certification, or higher 8140-Compliant Certification

Additional Qualifications:

• TS/SCI clearance

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
