Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a programming language, such as Java, C++ or Python.
  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Italian fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with and managing external partners/customers.
  • Familiarity with SQL/MySQL and Unix/Linux operating systems/commands.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the audience, and comfort presenting technical materials to groups of any size and background.
  • Problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective project management skills and attention to detail.

About the job

The Customer Solutions Engineering team is responsible for building innovative, cutting-edge solutions to the business problems faced by the world’s largest advertisers. We work as a critical technical partner for our sales teams and develop answers to questions. Our solutions can take many forms, from prototypes and demos to education, all with the technology resources of Google to back it up.

As a Customer Solutions Engineer, you will deliver custom solutions and technical consulting to Google's advertisers, advertising agencies, and other partners. You will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing your own projects. You will see the unique business challenges faced by our largest advertisers, and you will be given the opportunity to develop solutions no one else has.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and optimize new business opportunities; develop customer relationships by leveraging Google products and technologies.
  • Help partners in their day-to-day challenges by delivering innovative and scalable solutions; troubleshoot their issues.
  • Propose, design, create, and present prototypes, demos, and proofs-of-concept to a wide variety of audiences, from engineers to marketing professionals.
  • Perform implementation reviews. Advocate for new product features and provide partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
  • Develop solutions, provide consulting services to our partners, build lasting relationships, and be aware of customer needs.
