We are looking for a talented Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic and growing R&D Technology Lab team - Quantified Ag - in Lincoln, Nebraska (remote or telecommute). This person will develop cutting edge software solutions for our Livestock Monitoring and Analytics platform. Location

  • Lincoln, Nebraska (remote or telecommute option available)

Essential Duties

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and 3rd party developers to build software solutions focused on precision livestock technologies
  • Work with internal and external APIs
  • Act independently to provide technical leadership for specific projects or in an area of expertise.
  • Lead/mentor Junior Devs, Student Fellows, and postdocs
  • Perform code reviews as necessary

Education

  • Bachelor’s (preferred) or equivalent professional experience

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience building cloud-based Java, Spring Boot / MVC, and hibernate applications
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience or equivalent education using SQL
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience or equivalent education building API’s and working with JSON
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience or equivalent education working with front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Angular
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working with Azure (or AWS cloud platforms)

Preferred Professional Experience

  • Familiarity with Git
  • Familiarity with Agile development process
  • C# and Python Experience is a plus
  • Android or other Mobile Development is a plus
  • Familiarity with IoT, Big Data infrastructure, Serverless Computing, and Machine Learning is a plus
  • Experience creating visualizations in R, Power BI (or similar visualization tool), D3js a plus
  • Experience with Kubernetes a plus
  • Experience with Snowflake a plus
