Shop Leader leads one of our Tuft & Needle retail shops with the Assistant Shop Leader and Sleep & Wellness Advisors reporting directly to you. You will report to your Area Leader and will work together to develop & execute strategies aimed at delivering a highly successful shop and world-class customer experience. We want our retail experience to follow suit, and you will role model and lead that mission. We are looking for a results driven, inspirational and empathetic servant leader capable of building cohesion and empowerment amongst our retail shop team. Your time will be spent leading with integrity and working alongside your teams as you coach, develop and inspire them to produce strong sales and business results. The ideal candidate is excited about leading through ambiguity and building their business as we bring the Tuft & Needle premium sleep and wellness experience to a broader national footprint. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Proactively hire and train to maintain staffing & client readiness during all operating hours. • Lead a consistently elevated experience in your shop that fosters a more personalized, clientele style relationship with the perfect blend of style, expertise, and sleep solutions. • Manage shop P&L and execute company aligned shop strategies to achieve all sales, KPI, payroll, shop expense, and profitability goals. • Partner with your Area Leader to develop local market outreach to drive traffic into your shop. • Model and cultivate an exceptional experience in your shop by assessing performance and utilizing all client feedback via NPS, Google Business and Yelp. • Benchmark our business, monitor our competitors & industry trends as it relates to the shopping experience and provide feedback to your Area Leader. • Train and develop teams to ensure efficient & consistent shop operations while minimizing loss and maintaining a safe workplace. • Ensure compliance and adherence to T&N policies & procedures and all company directives. HOW YOU’LL DO IT • Lead by example with consistent and effective planning with strong communication to yield • knowledgeable and well informed employees. A knowledgeable team is a high performing team. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent planning and prioritization skills. • Strong ability to evaluate current shop performance based on available data and observations and execute performance-driven plans that address opportunities for enhancement and growth. • Lead to deliver flawless execution in your shop to deliver on all business goals and objectives. • Lead your team with a healthy balance of accountability & shared recognition for a job well done. • Cultivate a collaborative & positive work environment aligned with our company values. • Develop strong employee engagement and champion our company culture within your shop. • Ability to lead through ambiguity while creating focus & alignment on all business objectives. WHAT YOU BRING • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years in a customer facing retail or service industry environment. • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience retail or service industry leadership roles with direct management responsibilities for teams of 5 or more Our people You'll work with some of the most talented, supportive, and savvy individuals out there.
