Our visual designers help to communicate our design intent in a way that delights yet informs our users to create intuitive interfaces.

As a member of our team, you can instinctively weave iconography, typography, colour, space and texture together to simplify and improve how our customers navigate our products and services. You’ll use your expertise to create designs that inspire, engage and excite.

You’ll be comfortable within agile team environments and an iterative process, you’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders as you analyze, design and convey your mobile and responsive design vision. A natural problem solver, communicator and facilitator, you’ll be involved in every step of the process from idea generation to implementation.

Along with full-time opportunities, if you are looking for flexibly, we are open to hiring you as a contractor on a 12-month basis that can be extended to 24-months.

What you would work on

• Lead the visual design strategy for your squad
• Create complex low-fidelity sketches, hi-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes to communicate intent, or delivery specifications for development
• Facilitate ideation sessions, collaborative work activities and present visual design outcomes to more senior stakeholders
• Evaluate visual designs for accessibility, inclusivity and provide expert advice and guidance to cross-functional teams
• Participate and facilitate usability testing and initiate research activities

What you need to succeed

• BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or a related field or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a visual designer working on complex digital products
• Portfolio that includes product visual design case studies where you walk through the problem you were solving and the process you used to come to a solution
• Solid knowledge of design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) and principles (typography, grid systems, visual hierarchy, colour, white space, etc.)
• Understanding of responsive design
• Experience working with developers, project managers and contributing to the launch of a digital product within an agile environment
