Job Description
The Project Coordinator organizes work throughout the consulting services lifecycle by gathering and dispensing needed information and updates. Project Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with the Services Director or Regional Vice President to assist with tasks such as resource management, time and expense approvals, internal project meeting scheduling, project documentation, adherence to resourcing plans, project budget tracking, and project status communication drafts. The individual should have excellent time management and communication skills and be able to collaborate with internal teams to create and deliver project information.
Ultimately, the Project Coordinator’s duties will ensure that all projects follow the MicroStrategy Project Management methodology, maintain compliance with MicroStrategy time and expense approval and change order policies, and ensure project statuses are accurate and issues are escalated.
Your Focus :
- Capture, coordinate, and communicate project information
- Resource Management
- Review and run budget reports
- Understand Services Director’s delivery plan and ensure project is delivered based on the communicated plan
- Liaise with consultants to capture project status and escalate challenges to PSD
- Approve timecards and expense reports
- Monitor project progress and escalate issues that arise
- Monitor project non-billable hours
- Usher change order opportunities through the internal systems and ensure CO budgets are applied promptly
- Organize internal project meetings (specifically internal kick offs: as needed)
- Work with the Services Director to eliminate project blockers
- Coordinate with customers to obtain purchase order, answer invoicing questions, or to confirm details required for onsite work (when needed)
Qualifications
- Bachelors or equivalent degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience leading the scoping and delivery of technology services engagements, including project and engagement management
- Ability to drive project-based work and to manage tasks, schedules, deliverables, budget, and project risk
- Effective communication skills at all organizational levels, including written, oral, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to function in dynamic environments, whether leading or following
- Effectively bi-lingual in the English & Japanese language.
