Job Description

35 hours per week

Working as an Infrastructure Technician at Xactware / Verisk means:

Success criteria:

  • Measurable contribution to the capabilities, security posture and optimization of company technologies

  • Positive feedback from team members and leaders of the Verisk community

Responsibility:

  • Review Nessus vulnerability report, research issue, evaluate and apply solution.
  • Routinely provision and deactivate customer databases
  • Automate and/or script for routine processes (i.e. Systems Manager-AWS and Windows PowerShell)
  • Some end user support(i.e. changing passwords, unlocking accounts, active directory)
  • Systems support for software, hardware and servers
  • Network equipment management/maintenance(i.e. firewalls, routers, access points, switches)
  • Revising existing network and security documentation guidelines

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal) and a collaborative, team-oriented approach to work are a must, as is a comfort level working in a fast-paced, federated environment that embraces innovation and experimentation
  • Dependable and flexible with work hours, including nights and weekends as required
  • 2 years of related experience in designing, managing, and/or supporting enterprise infrastructure systems, networking concepts (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows
  • Experience working with public cloud products and services; AWS
  • Experience creating technical documentation and using tools including Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Prefer the familiarity with database platforms such as MS SQL
  • No travel required
