Senior Director, IT Risk Governance & Insights (GCS)

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Vice President, Global IT Risk, the Senior Director, IT Risk Governance and Insights will be responsible for setting strategic direction for Global IT Risk (GITR) team and maturing IT Risk function Globally, building and managing operating model for GITR and providing perceptive IT risk insights through comprehensive 1 LOD risk reporting and effective issue management. This role will be focusing on

• Evolving IT Risk function globally;
• Establishing IT Risk Governance and engagement models with internal and external to GCS stakeholders;
• Building Global IT Risk Strategy including people, processes and technologies;
• Creating 1LOD robust risk profile and insights driven risk reporting and defining enterprise, T&O, and regional cyber /tech risk metrics (KRIs, KPIs, KSIs);
• Enhancing the culture of issue self-identification, the resolution and proactive management through governance, reporting and monitoring;
• Building IT Risk Intelligence leveraging data analysis and data science capabilities;

This role also supports the Vice President, Global IT Risk to regularly inform Executive Management about key risk issues that require their attention.

The ideal leader will have extensive Technology and Cyber Risk industry relevant experience. Qualifications and certifications in risk management / technology /cyber risk, cyber security, information security and/or Risk Management (CISSP /CRISC) are preferred .Strong technical and data management related background and relationship management skills with ability to lead, motivate and inspire staff, including promote a culture of high performance that celebrates inclusivity and innovation.

What will you do?

• Enhance IT Risk management practices including strategy, governance, reporting and monitoring
• Drive GITR strategy and its alignment to tech and business strategies
• Manage a program to develop, monitor and report on IT and Cyber risks and control metrics in the most automated and efficient manner.
• Provide risk management insights through an ongoing process of gathering, analyzing and prioritizing actionable risk messages; develop content to support communication of the messages and enable technology teams to consume and apply the messages to their respective areas.
• Establish practices and communications to foster a culture of issue self-identification and support partners in the Risk Issue management processes to carry out their roles effectively and consistently.
• Continuously improve quality of the issue management process and data.
• Seek industry trends and organization knowledge to understand and implement effective risk management practices.
• Manage various global stakeholders across levels (including executives) and engage in resolution of risk issues.
• Build and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders, team members, and other business, functional and support groups. Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure alignment of Global Cyber Security initiatives.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

• 10 or more years demonstrated experience in developing and applying leading practices in a large scale Information Security, Technology Risk or Operational Risk environments, including strategy development and execution, risk and governance experience.
• Knowledge of IT Risk frameworks, methodologies and industry standards related to IT and Cyber Risk management, including emerging trends and issues related to the subject matter.
• Proven track record to deliver analyze and conceptualize data to meet research objectives and develop powerful risk and business insights.
• Ability to partner with diverse stakeholders in complex scenarios with excellent liaison, communication, influence and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in a broad range of Information Security and Risk Management, including strong knowledge and experience in application development and data management concepts and governance practices.
• Industry recognized qualifications and certifications in Information Security and/or Risk Management (CISSP /CRISC).
• 5 or more years of people management experience and proven leadership and coaching abilities.
