Job Description

C.H. Robinson is seeking a detail oriented, solution driven, professional Accountant to support our International Accounting team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute autonomously with precision & excellence, working closely with others in the global accounting team and business stakeholders to produce accurate, timely, and relevant financial information. You will prepare, analyze, and review financial statements to ensure conformity with accounting policies and principles, and take part in the financial reporting process. Responsibilities:

• Participate in the consolidation of global results, including assisting with the uploading of 3rd party ERP results into the consolidation, revaluation of foreign currency balances, and elimination entries.
• Review international account reconciliation in month end closing process to ensure following corporate policies and US GAAP.
• Help prepare and review reconciliations of statutory financials statements to US GAAP for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Establish strong working relationships with the foreign entity accounting teams to include a strong understanding of their monthly activities.
• Assist with testing of financial information to support global ERP implementations.
• Prepare reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents that project the organization's financial position.
• Support the coordination of financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, proactively seeking out coaching feedback with an open mind and eagerness to learn.
• Participates in FinanceU learning initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with international currency and regulatory requirements
• Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud and other cloud-based Oracle solutions
• Accountability to protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Highly determined with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team
