What you’ll be doing:

    • Work closely with company leaders, the Cruise Program Management Office and hardware/software TPMs to create and own program milestones, cross-team integration points, overall schedule and execution plans.
    • Coordinate system requirement definition, development and validation efforts in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, engineering environment.
    • Develop validation plans that align with internal customer needs and major company milestones.
    • Proactively resolve issues and drive course corrections as needed - be directly involved in helping teams foresee and overcome barriers or blockers.
    • Help manage and drive complex, fast-evolving hardware systems and components during early development, both in-house and by third-party vendor partners.
    • Capture and track inter-team dependencies and handoffs; monitor and help resolve issues.
    • Define program deliverables, metrics and KPIs, set up mechanisms to track/report.
    • Communicate progress effectively across program teams, including to third parties and Cruise leadership.

What you must have:

  • BS in engineering, science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a technology development field/industry
  • Ability to understand complex technical systems and programs
  • Experience dealing with heterogeneous distributed systems or executing automotive, aerospace, or consumer electronics programs
  • Familiarity with concepts like test development, test, reliability/validation, and HW/SW development
  • Strong technical and nontechnical communication skills
  • Ability to confidently bring order and organization to any team
  • Track record of being able to influence people and teams that do not report into you
  • A passion for identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to improve processes and increase efficiency
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, SmartSheets

Bonus Points!

  • Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, or complex electromechanical systems
  • Working experience as a Systems Engineer
  • Experience with requirements management tools like Jama, DOORS, Rhapsody
