Job Description Summary
Build and maintain relationships with large health brokers and consulting practices to promote the sale of Transamerica Employee Benefits Core Voluntary Benefits product suite and Group Life, STD & LTD for groups of 2,000 lives and above.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintain relationships with national/regional brokerage, consulting and enrollment firms within an assigned territory through aggressive product sales with new groups over 2,000 lives.
  • Drives product sales in Group Life, STD, & LTD by combining with Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity and Permanent Life.
  • Thought leader within employee benefits industry.
  • Work with Mid Market, Wholesale Markets and Business Development teams to generate additional sales.
  • Work with retirement sales and client executive teams to cross sell employee benefits.
  • Transition new accounts; provide oversight to account management team and maintain accountability for post-sale service and client/broker relationships.
  • Partner with internal account management, marketing, product, operations and actuarial teams to provide client deliverables.
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to generate new sales and relationship opportunities.
  • Track sales activities.
  • Resolves escalated service issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent experience
  • 5-7+ years of experience selling employee benefits in the health brokerage marketplace
  • Thorough knowledge of the employee benefits marketplace
  • Life/health license
  • Advanced sales skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and public speaking skills
  • Self-motivated and innovative thinker
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated broker relationships in home territory
  • Proven success selling Group Life, STD, LTD and Voluntary products

It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. **

Compensation:

The salary for this position generally ranges between $ 67,725,-$111,825 . This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

Bonus Eligibility:

This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 15%.

Commissions:

This position may be eligible to earn commissions based on applicable sales incentive plan(s). All details pertaining to the calculation and payment of those commissions are available in the individual provisions of the sales incentive plan that applies.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment or work remote from home
  • Extensive travel (60-70%)
