Accounting Manager , you will join the Accounting team reporting directly to the Corporate Controller. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring an accurate and timely month-end close as well as direct responsibility for maintaining, developing and documenting appropriate internal controls throughout the Company.
What You’ll Be Working On:
- Oversee the daily general accounting activities to monitor the corporation's general ledger to ensure an accurate and timely month-end and year-end close.
- Hire, supervise, direct, and review the work of one or more direct reports.
- Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Review, approve, and prepare certain balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accuracy of postings.
- Work closely with the Corporate Controller to complete annual external audit and tax filings
- Develop, establish, and maintain general accounting financial policies and procedures and work with management and employees to ensure compliance.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and leading process improvement efforts to increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
- Day-to-day management of Staff Accountant; actively working to promote and recognize performance and keeping up to date on the team's overall activities.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Performing ad-hoc financial analysis.
What You Bring to Reify Health:
- 15+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or relevant years of experience
- Some previous managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with QuickBooks (a must) or other accounting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
