Quality Engineering Technician

Job Description

Zoox Quality Engineering technician will report to the quality engineer and run vehicle audits and inspections for the highlander L3 program. The technician will have multiple procedures for inspections, which include electrical harness inspections, sensor installation inspections, and other vehicle level checks.

Responsibilities

• You will implement quality checks based on the work instruction provided and inspection check sheets for the vehicle build.
• Provide necessary feedback to the quality engineers when there are potential improvement opportunities to the process and inspections.
• For new issues that are not on the inspection procedure or the inspection check sheet, the technician shall explain the issues clearly to the quality engineer.

Qualifications

• Experience with the automotive-style end of line testing and procedures. Able to develop and support other teams to develop a functioning system to assure product quality is achieved.
• Experience in automotive vehicle inspection from basic wiring to a complex interaction of electrical systems.
• Experience in start-up/launch activities preferred.
• 3DX experience for viewing (cross-sectioning) and 2D drawing
