Job Description

As part of the HR Operations team, GitHub is looking for an HR Analyst for the APAC region. This role will support employee life cycle processes in partnership with other HR teams, assist in benefits administration in the region, address employee queries and prepare HR compliance returns and reports.

We are looking for a skilled professional with at least 5 years of relevant work experience. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has a passion and proven track record for solving issues in an efficient and effective manner. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally and across geographies to achieve team goals are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Addressing tier-1 employee queries on HR policy or processes including timely management and closure of HR tickets in the system. Coordinating with other HR teams for resolution of employee queries of a more complex nature.
  • Analysis of employee queries and experiences and sharing feedback and recommendations with relevant stakeholders to improve employee experience
  • Documenting and publishing country specific HR processes and policies (wherever required) in collaboration with other HR Teams. May require to manage employee communication plans for the same.
  • Joining formalities for new Hubbers in APAC including collecting and verifying documentation and forms, set-up in HRIS, coordinating with Insurance brokers in each country for employee set-up,
  • New hire onboarding including organizing, coordinating and executing fortnightly onboarding sessions for APAC Hubbers in collaboration with the global Talent Development team.
  • Employee Lifecycle processing including country transfers, leaves and salary administration
  • Administration of benefits in each country including submitting and collecting information from Insurance broker, coordinating with payroll and also working with Benefits team for renewal of contracts
  • Employee exit formalities including coordinating exit checklist sign off from all stakeholders and working with payroll for Full & Final settlement
  • Regular audit of HRIS system to ensure accurate employee information and documentation which may impact benefit disbursement or statutory reporting eg Home Office Policy and vacation leave balances respectively
  • Preparation of reports and timely submissions for employment law compliance across APAC; will involve coordination with compliance/legal consultants
  • Working with HRBP in APAC to coordinate learning programs, culture initiatives, office hours for employees and other HR projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in similar position
  • Works really well with others and has a customer service mentality. Culturally sensitive and past experience with working with global stakeholders preferred.
  • Strong follow through and high dependability and responsiveness
  • Takes initiative and drives innovation within the HR space; requires minimal supervision
  • Fluent in English language - oral and written skills
  • Interested in learning and using technology
