About the role:

Mixpanel's Global Technology Services team is focused on providing world class end user support, and empowering the broader Mixpanel Community with best in class technical resources. Based in Barcelona, the Technical Support Specialist will help empower end users in EMEA and globally, and play a key role in the expansion of the Global Technology Services team.

The Technical Support role requires a technical skill-set, along with up to date knowledge of the latest technology trends. The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly incorporate new techniques and processes, while exhibiting a strong focus on end users. The candidate must be personable and have the ability to interact with every level of our team. The ability to simplify complex technical solutions and convey them to our team is a must.

Job Functions:

  • Provide all our technology users with delightful experiences (98% Mac)
  • Document, track and monitor hardware and software problems using existing ticketing system.
  • Support and administer our portfolio of SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Okta, Slack and other tools.
  • Assist with inventory, auditing, reporting and managing technical equipment and hardware.
  • Assist with the onboarding/offboarding process from beginning to end.
  • Assist with maintaining a knowledge base and department process/policy documentation.
  • Support AV systems and help host complex meetings and events
  • Work and strategize with the Security team on cross-functional Technology Service projects that cover areas in deployment and configuration, security, identity and device management.
  • Help implement policies and procedures around security, and ensure all deployed computers have valid encryption and endpoint security and management software.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Prior technical support experience.
  • Excellent problem solving, technical, and writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong work ethic, friendly presence and helpful attitude, a desire to learn with no fear of asking questions.
  • Experience and familiarity with current and changing aspects of corporate information technology environments; including Mac, mobile devices, audio/video equipment and printers
  • Experience with common cloud-based business applications (Google Workspace, Okta, Jira, Slack and other tools)
  • Exposure to enterprise mobile device management software (Jamf experience strongly preferred)

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure providers, with Google Cloud Platform experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working as part of globally distributed team
  • Experience with Networking and Palo Alto Networks firewalls
  • Experience with EndPoint Security
