Role Description

The Head of People Technology is responsible for partnering with functional stakeholders on the People team to understand organizational strategy, identify technology solutions to meet their needs, and lead the delivery of the People technology roadmap. Reporting to the Senior Director of Workforce Planning and Global People Services & Technology, this role will partner directly with People leaders and cross-functional partners to define and influence the future direction of our roadmap as we transition to becoming a Virtual First company. This hands-on dual business/technical role demands excellent knowledge of HR business processes and methodologies, along with a strong background in employee data standards and reporting strategy. The candidate will have direct experience in Workday process design, configuration and implementation, as well as a host of other tools such as Greenhouse (ATS), Gem, etc. Additionally, this role leverages expertise in core system infrastructure to contribute to cross-functional system initiatives. The ideal candidate has excellent collaboration, problem solving, and enterprise systems technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and champion a People technology roadmap; manage the portfolio of People Systems programs and projects from initiation to launch
  • Take a product management approach to designing and implementing a stack of tools that both our People team and all of our employees genuinely love to use
  • Coordinate project intake, consult with cross-functional stakeholders to establish prioritization, and manage the core People technology roadmap
  • Meet technology needs through partnership, influence, and collaboration across People, IT and other internal stakeholders
  • Analyze people technology industry trends and determine their impact on the technology roadmap
  • Oversee and execute end-to-end support of various People systems, including Workday and Greenhouse but not limited to
  • Continue efforts to integrate people systems into an enterprise solution aimed at creating a seamless employee experience across the globe
  • Collaborate with leaders of other functional areas to ensure consistent and effective design and implementation of cross-functional solutions
  • Emphasize scalability and sustainability in all design decisions
  • Provide guidance to functional People leaders and leaders of other functional areas within People Systems to ensure best practices and optimization of core infrastructure
  • Adhere to compliance standards, including documentation of requirements, testing, and approvals
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to functional People teams for adoption of system enhancements and future system capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years hands on experience designing, configuring and integrating people systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS, Integrations)
  • Experience leading end-to-end system implementations, including project management, issue management, communication and change management
  • Expertise in Workday required
  • Excellent knowledge of HR, Payroll & Benefits processes and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
  • Experience working with/managing contractors and technical resources
  • Experience operating in and building an auditable and compliant software ecosystem
