The Maps team is looking for a QC manager within Points of Interest (POI) group. POI group is responsible for maintaining and curating POI data by working closely with our partners in Engineering, Product and Program Management. The successful applicant will manage QC of multiple projects in scaled operations, partnering with Operations, vendor managed teams and program teams across the globe. The ideal person is not happy with the status-quo and constantly drives improvement in operations delivery and quality!

- Experience in leading large scale operations in cross functional projects within a product organisation.
- Experience in quality control practices, quality metrics, measurement & understanding of quality concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and consultation skills.
- Passion for data quality, accuracy and timeliness of projects in a highly multifaceted environment.
- Experience in running pilot projects from prioritising to execution.
- Confirmed team leadership, vendor management and relationship skills with ability to foster productive partnerships with internal and external partners.
- Experience in digital mapping or GIS project management. Specific experience in POI domain will be preferable.
- Experience working with globally spread, complementary teams handling both English and non English projects.
Description
Description - Directly responsible for timely completion of quality checks on all operational projects. - Responsible for defining, handling and supervising quality sampling. - We encourage detailed Root cause analysis on top error categories - Lead quality KPIs including efficiency and quality metrics. - Innovative thinking and quick decision making for efficient day to day operations. - Review and lead vendor team performance - Close collaboration with training team to provide continuous feedback on policies and training content. - Drive continuous improvement of process, tools, policies, product features etc. in collaboration with internal teams. - Work cross-functionally to develop & maintain quality guidelines and policies. - The role involves working with multiple partners across regions which demands good time leadership skills and flexibility to work across different timezones.
Education & Experience
Education & Experience - BS/B.Tech/BA Degree or meaningful experience. MBA Preferred - Six Sigma, Lean certifications are desirable
