Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.
The Head of FCO Client Onboarding – Business & Operations Support will be responsible for supporting process enhancement implementation, executing tactical solutions and ensuring positive client outcomes across both Commercial Banking and CIB. This role will develop and drive consistent, collaborative, and sustainable support across all internal FCO partners and external business/product partners. Additionally, this role will lead a team responsible for resolving customer escalations and coordinating special handling of complex transactions, rush closings, and unique customer scenarios.The role will partner with key stakeholders within Wells Fargo, including but not limited to, the larger CB and CIB COO offices, Technology, Data, Commercial Bank and CIB businesses to identify and support process and control enhancements for the respective businesses and functions to continually strengthen our control environment and streamline our processes. Providing the leadership needed to develop a diverse team that is inclusive and has the ability to drive change in a complex regulatory and operational environment is critically important.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify opportunities and support client-centric enhancements while ensuring BSA / AML operations and program meets and/or exceeds all internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Partner with business leaders, product leaders, and Client Services organizations to ensure successful planning, impasse resolution, and support of client onboarding operations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and resolve client issues.
- Matrix management responsibility with key stakeholders to ensure effective customer experience delivery, pipeline management, SLA performance, operational efficiency, and risk management.
- Facilitate and coordinate engagement between key stakeholders and independent testing groups regarding KYC client onboarding processes and controls
- Establish a work environment that will support an aggressive change agenda while ensuring our team is diverse and the culture continuously evolves to help drive the values of Wells Fargo.
As a visible and key leader of the FCO Client Onboarding team, this person will drive cohesive planning and execution of program activities collaborating with all peers within Commercial Banking and CIB. Required Qualifications- 3+ years of management experience
- 10+ years of risk management experience in one or a combination of the following: risk management, client service, operations support, or business process management demonstrated through work or military; or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management
Other Desired Qualifications - Experience with financial crimes risk, legal, criminal justice, U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
- Proven ability to effectively lead geographically dispersed teams (domestic and international) in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Understanding of best-practice risk management techniques across financial services industry.
- Strong analytical ability used to identify risks and confidently raise issues, escalate early and engage in constructive credible challenge and will do so independently when necessary.
- Demonstrated excellence at identifying stakeholders, understanding needs, and driving decision- making/resolution through a consensus building approach.
- Ability to perform effectively in an ever-evolving environment, and successfully address multiple competing high-priority matters.
- Experience working with and providing reporting and updates to senior-level management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present complex ideas in a straightforward manner and also inspire large teams and effectively influence internal and external constituencies.
