This position is within Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM), as a registered investment advisory firm, we focus on managing equity, fixed income and blended portfolios for a variety of institutional clients both in the US and abroad.

The Investment Operations team within Wells Fargo Asset Management has responsibility for the day to day business management of the firm’s business functions and processes.

Retail Managed Accounts is a significant component of WFAM’s long -term growth strategy. As part of the Retail Managed Accounts Operations Team, the successful candidate in this role is expected to support the RMA business, implement strategic solutions for the RMA operations team, and contribute to the alignment of the RMA operations model with the firm’s growth strategy and goals. Responsibilities may include:

  • Establishing effective relationships with RMA team members, broader operations teams, and distribution, sale and investment management partners
  • Functioning as a primary liaison for specific vendor relationships and oversight
  • Collaborating with multiple levels of management to identify, research and resolve problems and develop solutions and help drive continuous improvement
  • Building strong partnerships across the business to develop scalable work process models for rapid expansion of the business
  • Effectively managing change associated with transition of business to a new company
  • Providing leadership and support on a variety of operational functions

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of investment operations experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of cash (domestic and international and physical securities (DTC) settlements)
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of US commodity, equity, and interest rate markets
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Ability to review and understand ISDA Master and Credit Support Annex agreements
  • Ability to learn and assimilate information from multiple people and sources
  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
  • Ability to create and improve process through strategic thinking
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvements
  • Ability to assess current processes/procedures and make recommendations for efficiency


Other Desired Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Retail Managed Account operations experience
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the Retail managed Account business, including SMA's and Models
  • Knowledge and understanding of the asset management industry, especially investment operations and back office support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop reports and metrics
  • Experience working with InvestCloud (or other managed account platforms), CRD, and Investortools (Perform)

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
