Department Overview:
The Data and Analytics team’s mission within ICS Cyber Security Defense and Monitoring is to improve Wells Fargo's security posture by providing ongoing monitoring of selected information security controls so there is appropriate awareness to control effectiveness and trends, and to support the coordination and prioritization of remediation activities:

• Provide assurance that our controls are current, implemented as designed, and operating as intended
• Deliver quality monitoring and actionable reporting services that provide clear visibility of our security health for infrastructure related security controls
• Increase awareness to control gaps and weaknesses, and support ongoing remediation

About the Role:

Our Information Cyber Security team is looking for an Information Security Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team which is part of Cyber Security Defense & Monitoring. The Information Security engineer will be an experienced Hadoop Developer to develop and support Cyber Security projects within Wells Fargo Enterprise Information Security.
The successful candidate for the position will have a strong background in working in a data driven environment and supporting fast paced agile development. The candidate should have good technical background working in Big Data ecosystem and ability to do data analysis, application design and development, code implementation and overall application support. The candidate should also be willing to learn and flexible to changing technology.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Hadoop tech lead and lead a group of Hadoop developers
• Analyze highly complex business requirements, design and write technical specifications to design or redesign complex applications.
• Collaborate with other technology teams and architects to define and develop solutions.
• Research and experiment with emerging ETL technologies and tools related to Big Data.
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.
• Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs.
• Support overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production.
  
• Maintain the application code base and provide support for any code maintenance.
• Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides.
• Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.
• Hadoop development and implementation.
• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design.
• Test prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams.
• Propose best practices/standards.
• Responsible for system and data quality assurance and consistency
• May provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff
  

Market Skills and Certifications

Essential Qualifications:

• 8 to 10 years of application development and implementation experience
• 5+ years of Hadoop development experience (Hive, NiFi, HDFS, Sqoop, Spark) on a major distribution such as Hortonworks or Cloudera or MapR
• 5+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Sqoop
• 5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience with a tool such as Informatica, Ab Initio, NiFi
• 5+ years of SQL experience
• 5+ years of experience in large scale data warehousing, distributed computing, and parallel processing
• 5+ years of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners
• 5+ years Java programming experience with full life cycle of Java
• Knowledge and understanding of Python
