Purpose of Job
We are seeking a talented Executive Assistant for either our San Antonio-Riverwalk facility.
The candidate selected for this position will be working alongside Corporate Technology Chief Financial Office and Human Resource IT teams. They will support Executives in USAA’s Corporate Technology organization. They will mostly work in Microsoft Office to manage the day-to-day actives of the EMG they are assigned to for support; as well as other collaborative tools such as, but not inclusive to, SLACK, BOX, and shared drives.
Performs administrative support for members of the Executive Management Group (EMG). Ensures day-to-day activities are coordinated and EMG members are prepared for responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
- Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.
- Coordinates activities and ensures timely information flow for EMG members supported.
- Prioritizes and organizes work for EMG members to meet deadlines on multiple tasks.
- Prepares and updates presentations, reports, and spreadsheets for EMG members and assigned area.
- Reviews data content and presentation method for accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Manages EMG members’ schedule and provides administrative support to assigned EMG which may include managing emails, maintaining calendar(s) and ensuring appropriate record retention
- Routes department calls and e-mail to appropriate staff members.
- Composes e-mails, letters and memorandums.
- Maintains filing system for key documents. Prepares correspondence and reports for EMG supported.
- Ensures data to and from EMG members are treated with appropriate level of confidentiality.
- Maintains travel and expense reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- 4 years directly related work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, data retrieval, and word processing and presentation software.
- Demonstrated experience with calendar management and/or prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively build strong relationships and work with all levels within the organization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail needed.

Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years working with USAA executives in an administrative function
- 6+ years' experience as an Executive Assistant including event planning and general meeting coordination including note taking and information gathering.
- 6+ years' experience managing Senior Level executives
- Experience with digital information management (file sharing, information storing, BOX and shared drives).
- Proven budgeting experience to include coordinating business travel arrangements and understanding of Concur expense management system.
- Experience with digital information management (file sharing, information storing, BOX, Shared Drives, SharePoint) and collaboration technologies (Zoom and SLACK)
- Exemplary organizational skills, including the ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills; ability to speak up to assist in action items and/or escalating issues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills exercising discretion and diplomacy in working with others including all levels of management.
- Takes initiative and speaks up to assist effectively setting action items and escalating issues.
- Comfortable in an ambiguous environment
- Self-directed and drives for results

Compensation:
USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $54,800 - $98,700* (this does not include geographic differential it may be applied based on your work location)
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
*Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.
Shift premium: will be addressed on an individual basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
