As a new function at Degreed, Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives will help to optimize the organization capabilities to deliver the next level of growth of the company. The aim is to support the organization with project management practices for strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is both business savvy and people focused, possesses excellent organizational, collaborative, strong interpersonal skills to contract at all levels of the organization, with a proven ability to execute with detail and operational excellence. This role will report to the SVP Global Business Transformation & Optimization (BTO) who oversees the Program Management Office.

Day In The Life

• The Project Manager of Strategic Initiatives will manage all aspects of various projects of a complex nature and/or medium size initiatives by assembling a project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing project plans to ensure timely completion and execution of deliverables
• Work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify project deliverables, and cadences
• Track and monitor project deliverables
• Other duties as assigned

Who You Are

• Proven work experience in project management 3-5 years, managing complex projects
• Excellent organization, time management, consulting and communication skills
• A solid understanding of the HCM space an asset
• Detailed oriented
• Creative, solutions oriented
• Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives & internal cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills to creatively convey complex concepts in an easy to understand manner

What Will Set You Apart

• Thorough understanding of Human Capital Management enterprise software SaaS, and background in L&D or Talent Management is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Demands Degreed is a remote-first company; however, our roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location (when it is safe to return to the office). If this role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually, it will be from your home office within any state or country that Degreed is authorized to do business. If this role is based in a Degreed office location, you will have flexibility to work remotely if needed. As a global business, we primarily collaborate through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. You will be required to operate a laptop computer, computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery as necessary in this role. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
