Market Job Description


MAS is seeking a Senior Analyst with a client-focused approach to solving investment challenges within the International Solutions team. The successful applicant will perform analysis to position our products and solutions and then clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing.
The Senior Analyst should have an appreciation of the specific needs of different types of institutional investors, especially defined benefits pension plans and insurance companies. The Senior Analyst will assist the team in maintaining and growing our external presence and promoting our capabilities. Applicants should enjoy working collaboratively across the organization in a team environment, focusing on specific, ambitious goals and demonstrate a sense of accountability and urgency in achieving results.
The role gives extensive exposure and space for growth across asset classes, with solutions ranging from equity, derivatives, fixed income and multi-asset. Key institutional investors targeted are insurance companies and pension plans across the EMEA and APAC regions. The Senior Analyst will have exposure to investment solution design as well as presenting to clients and prospects, working in a fast growing, innovative and dynamic team.

Responsibilities

for this role include

  • Creatively analyzing client circumstances to enhance our ability to meet investment objectives
  • Compiling information for routine to complex reports and spreadsheets using various software packages
  • Supporting client communications by producing presentations, charts, reports, letters, and emails
  • Resolving challenges before they are recognized by others
  • Building internal relationships and navigating complexities to solve issues independently and efficiently
Certified Person
This position is deemed to be a Certified Person function under the FCA and PRA Certification Regime. The Senior Analyst must at all times remain fit and proper to perform the role, and this will be assessed on at least an annual basis.
Certification functions include: Client dealing function for Wells Fargo Asset Management (International) Ltd.

Market Skills and Certifications


Required Qualifications

  • A good track record of investment experience (for example working in-house for an insurance company, solutions team at asset manager or investment consultant)
  • BA/BS Degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, actuarial science, economics or engineering
  • CFA or Actuarial qualification preferred.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid technical skills
Wells Fargo recently announced the sale of Wells Fargo Asset Management to GTCR LLC and Reverence Capital Partners, L.P. The sale is expected to close in the second half of 2021. We are continuing to recruit for open positions supporting Asset Management but want to ensure you are aware that when the sale closes this position will be part of the transferred business and not with the remaining Wells Fargo business. If you begin working at Wells Fargo, you should expect to transfer with the sale of Wells Fargo Asset Management, with similar employment terms and conditions as your Wells Fargo employment
