Job Description

Gogo Business Aviation is looking for a Manual Software Test Engineer who has a strong full-stack testing background to join our Ground Systems test team. The test engineer will be responsible for writing and executing manual test cases for today’s cutting-edge technology used to change the business aviation world. The test engineer will also be expected to help develop well-crafted test plans, test suites, and test reports. The test engineer will be embedded with a project team and will also be responsible for helping to drive out testable requirements in support of user stories during the project planning process.

How will you make a difference?

  • Manually test user stories at every stage of the software development lifecycle to ensure they meet the highest quality standards
  • Develop test cases that align with requirements in order to deliver working, tested software that matters
  • Work with the development team and product team to create testable user stories that deliver value to our customers
  • Monitor and analyze test execution results and provide feedback to development teams and test metrics to management
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to plan and enhance test automation capability to align with testing needs
  • Effectively and regularly communicate with direct management and project teams


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of full-stack testing experience.

Required Skills, Experience and Talents

  • Experience working within an Agile development environment
  • Experience testing Management Information Systems & Transaction Processing Systems
  • Knowledge of cloud computing environments, specifically AWS
  • Experience with basic SQL functionality
  • The inclination to study, learn and apply the integration of new technologies and methodologies
  • Experience working with API testing tools, specifically Postman
  • The ability to work with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team
  • Experience working with test management tools
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are a must
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude towards change in a fast-moving environment is a must
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Environmental progression understanding
  • Experience with full-stack testing
  • A firm understanding of the SDLC and test’s role in the SDLC

Preferred Skills, Experience and Talents

  • Experience in testing embedded systems software
  • ISTQB Foundational Level Certification
  • Experience with CRM/Billing software and processes
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with testing progression through multiple development and stage environments
  • Experience with Behavioral Driven Development (BDD)
  • Knowledge of persona-based testing methodology

Compensation: $75,000 - $94,000

Target Annual Incentive: 5% of base compensation
