Job Description

The New Member Acquisition (NMA) team is a fast-paced organization responsible for driving new U.S. Consumer Card Members into the American Express franchise via digital and direct channels. Withing NMA, the Prospect Marketing Enablement (MET) team works with speed and agility to deliver omni-channel marketing campaigns designed to attract and convert prospects into engaged card members.

The Prospect MET Manager/Sr Manager will direct a large team of Analysts and Contractors to balance agility and operational excellence in delivering marketing campaigns across multiple Prospect channels. The Manager/Sr Manager will set team and individual performance goals, use performance metrics and reporting to drive business results, and provide consistent coaching and feedback to ensure their team is performing at its highest level.

This Manager/Sr Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing and prioritizing the delivery of strategic initiatives within their channels on behalf of New Member Acquisition
  • Managing and delivering against key KPIs aligned with core stakeholders
  • Collaborating with internal partners, including CMS Marketing, EMPS, Charge, Lending, NPD, Ops Risk, GCO, and Compliance in executing on the roadmap and ensuring optimal campaign enablement processes
  • Partnering with the NMA Marketing Campaign Strategy (MCS) and EDA EMPS teams on driving campaign enablement innovation, including Marketingforce and other initiatives, that will drive efficiencies and remove associated marketer pain points
  • Contributing toward the achievement of favorable results across the Colleague Experience Survey (CES) dimensions by contributing toward the execution of the 2021 Team Engagement Plan
  • Supporting PMET hiring and onboarding processes as part of our commitment to Build a Diverse and Inclusive team
  • Inspiring a team of Analysts and Contractors to achieve their goals by providing ongoing development and feedback
  • Serving as a point of contact for escalation and support to direct reports and partners throughout the end-to-end enablement and execution process
  • Cultivating community among team members
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in campaign execution
  • Solid project management skills and proven ability to consistently drive results
  • Strong people leader – ability to engage and inspire
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills who can work well under pressure
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience; supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to drive and measure results
  • Ability to identify and implement process efficiencies
  • Outstanding team player who has a proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams to accomplish goals
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and resolve challenges constructively
  • Knowledge of Marketingforce and/or Meridian system is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
