We are looking for an experienced Fiduciary Tax professional to join our development team. As a Senior Tax Analyst with Thomson Reuters, you will make an immediate impact on how our customers accomplish their work and grow their advisory business. You will participate in design, development, and testing of our ONESOURCE Trust Tax product line using in-house development tools. In this role, you will collect, analyze, and prioritize requirements from various subject matter experts from our internal sources to define and make required changes to the ONESOURCE Trust Tax software. It will require working closely with internal teams. The position requires a forward-thinking attitude to implement tax law changes in advance of a typical tax filing season.


About the Role

In this opportunity as a Senior Tax Analyst you will:

  • Communicate with other internal teams to stay abreast of tax law changes per jurisdiction
  • Constant monitoring of IRS and state taxing agency tax law changes by review of Checkpoint and other sources to stay current on impending tax law changes
  • Implement changes to existing software
  • Design the client interface for the tax planning software
  • Write/and or communicate design changes for software engineers
  • Test software products
  • Write help documentation
  • Train supporting help and answer questions

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Senior Tax Analyst if you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Two or more years of fiduciary tax preparation experience
  • Extensive knowledge of fiduciary tax law - 1041
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of ADO and tracking of work items through multiple teams

Desired Experience:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) OR Enrolled Agent (EA)
  • State, city, and local income tax preparation experience for 1041 states
  • ONESOURCE Trust Tax a plus
