Job Description

The Gogo Business Aviation CONTRACT Senior Income Tax Analyst reports to the Income Tax Director and is responsible for gathering information, managing and preparing federal and state income tax returns, state franchise tax returns and overseeing several miscellaneous state filings (i.e., annual reports, business licenses, business qualifications etc.). This role will assist the Income Tax Director with the day-to-day operations and various filings. We are looking for an individual who works well in a fast-paced environment.

How will you make a difference?

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, and state franchise tax returns
• Prepare and assist with federal and state extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments
• Assist with preparation of tax provision and related calculations including deferred taxes
• Prepare and assist with schedule M-1’s including UNICAP, Stock Options, and various others
• Prepare and assist with fixed asset reconciliation and maintenance
• Prepare state apportionment schedules for multiple state filings
• Assist with various foreign tax filings and international tax compliance as it relates to the federal 1120 filing
• Prepare timely and accurate tax liability journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure balances are consistent with the underlying tax filings and to ensure that tax liabilities are properly stated in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Tax research and planning as it relates to Gogo’s domestic and international operations
• Monitor and maintain the tax compliance calendar to ensure all filings are completed on a timely basis
• Research and respond to tax notices from various governmental agencies
• Coordinate with other tax team members to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness of overall tax compliance processes
• Assists with all audit inquires as needed
• Participate in special projects

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of pertinent tax experience (Big 4 or large corporation experience preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA preferred but not necessary
• This is a 6 month contract to start

Preferred Skills, Talents & Experience

• Experience with Corptax, Sage and/or NAV software a plus
• Intermediate to advanced level experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excel pivot table proficiency strongly preferred
• Experience in the telecommunications, wireless internet services, or communications field preferred

Pay Rate: $39/hr-$48.50/hr
