Thomson Reuters is currently seeking a sales leader to join their Corporate Tax leadership team selling to companies with 500 million in revenue to F500 market. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position offers the perfect balance of running a sales force and managing channel partners. Using a team approach, the RSM will be responsible for all sales activity for the ONESOURCE software solutions within a given region. The RSM will cover U.S. sales activities occasionally interacting with other sales managers around the world on global deals. The RSM works collaboratively with the Sales Executive, Sales Support, Solution Consultant and Sales Leadership teams worldwide to develop the sales strategy for maximizing sales across the customer base. This role will play an active role in creating the structure to support proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing the deal. Compensation includes base salary with commissions based on individual and team performance.

Successful ASMs are goal-oriented and self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team. They are persuasive, empathetic and able to generate enthusiasm with clients and their sales team. They need excellent business acumen to accurately assess clients' issues and develop "outside the box" solutions. The job requires the ability to work with a sense of urgency while juggling multiple opportunities.

Position can be located anywhere on the east coast.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as a Sales Manager you will:

  • Oversight of Account Management of existing and new clients
  • Maintain momentum resources while developing and driving new business channels, both internal and external
  • Strategize with local account teams to identify and drive sales
  • Support local account teams drive complex enterprise sales
  • Continue to develop and improve "Go-to-Market Strategy" and Value Proposition as we expand into adjacent markets
  • Assist with content development as appropriate for all sales teams
  • Coordinate the activity of the ONESOURCE Sales team in the sales process among multiple business units.
  • Assist with presentation development as appropriate for sales team
  • Assist sales team to develop a strategic, consultative selling and business development capacity.

About You :

You're a fit for the role of Sales Manager if you :

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred; minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of software solution selling experience and at least four (4) years of sales management experience
  • Have a proven track record of leading sales teams that consistently exceeding quota targets
  • Have a demonstrable proficiency of driving and closing enterprise deals
  • Possess strong client relationship and business development skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment able to manage ambiguity and change while partnering with teammates at all levels to deliver value to clients
  • Are a strategic thinker – able to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) and influence both C- suite and Senior Executives
  • Experience with contract negotiations and budget management
  • Ability to work from home office with appropriate office environment ; Willingness to travel (including overnight travel) a minimum of 30%
