PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

POSITION SUMMARY

· This role is required to support the Program Director and Project Managers

· Work with the Project Managers to assist with managing their budgets in particular, raising and tracking Purchase Orders to closure, validating funds, monitoring expenses, budget transfers and provide regular reporting on the state of budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Cost Management

o Work with Program Team on cost forecast

o Report on variances to forecasts

o Highlight risks to forecasts

o Track actual expenditure

o Activities to reported fortnightly

o Gathers financial data and assist in budget development. Monitor assigned program expenses.

· Revenue Management

o Work with Program Team on revenue forecast

o Report on variances to forecasts

o Highlight risks to forecasts

o Activities to reported fortnightly

· Cisco Partners

o Forecast and accrue expenditure

· Red Badge Resourcing

o With resource manager highlight and renew contracts as appropriate

· Reporting and Metrics

  • Manage the regular reporting cadence and build the required reports, consolidating various data sources

o Provide guidance and recommendations to Program Director by highlighting anomalies

· Purchase Orders

o Administer project purchase orders and purchase order changes

o Raise, Track and monitor purchase order in alignment with company’s purchase control processes

· Reporting

o Prepare any ad-hoc reports and information as required to assist management in monitoring programs

o Monitor and report on exceptions for new engagements response times

o Provide monthly reports on new engagement responses by Domains and report any exceptions.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

· Bookkeeping, cost/control budget background

· Experience in managing invoices

· Experience with Oracle Purchase Order functions

· Experience with monthly financial cycles primarily focused on monthly accruals and actuals

· Experience in providing financial data for budget forecasts and or reconciliation purposes when required

· Experience in budget/financial support of programs or projects

· Advanced Excel & Word Skills

· Experience and skills in business analysis

· An understanding of financial models used in project development and management; ability to monitor and manage budgets

· Ability to identify trends and issues and prepare recommendations for consideration by management
