Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

The Portfolio Account Manager role is responsible for the management of leased equipment transactions with existing customers. The position serves as an interface between internal departments to ensure that customer needs are understood and met. Duties include directly handling lease buyouts/refinances, customer inquiries collecting/analyzing data, and improving the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively negotiate end of lease purchase and renewal options; meet residual income forecasts while achieving and adhering to all portfolio objectives and procedures.
  • Create and quote buyouts to customers, dealers, original equipment manufacturers, including proper assessments of equipment fair market values (FMV), customer/program contractual agreements and obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate customer needs.
  • Manage assigned portfolio of delinquent accounts.
  • Field and resolve complaints; prevent additional issues by improving processes.
  • Act as a customer advocate with a focus on maintaining relationships and the customer experience.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of general banking or lending experience; or a BS/BA degree or higher


Desired Qualifications

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 2+ years of collections or customer service experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 1+ year of account management experience
  • Military intelligence or analytics experience including operational management, project management, mission evolution management and finance management


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in sales/client relations, account management and/or collections.
  • In-depth knowledge of Asset/Equipment Management.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Adaptability and problem solving skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills with a particular emphasis on MS Excel
