Our Sales and Customer Success department owns sales, customer support and customer success and works to grow the number of successful creators on Teachable. We are looking for a Training Manager, reporting to the Director of Business Operations, to design and deliver an employee onboarding and ongoing learning program that improves employee and business performance. This individual will partner with departmental leadership to define needs, determine capability gaps and areas of improvement that a training program will address, define training KPIs, and ultimately improve time to employee ramp, and depth of employee knowledge. This position is open to applicants for our NYC, Durham, and Las Vegas offices
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Sales and Customer Success training programs
- Develop and refine a training program that’s based on domain research, user interviews, and alignment to business objectives
- Evaluate existing systems, processes, and resources; identifying gaps and developing a range of new training activities, including facilitation of instructor-led programs
- Administer course material, technology, and invitations to deliver programs in primarily virtual environments (and likely some post-pandemic in-person)
- Evaluate and direct the program’s technical infrastructure (platforms, tools, et al.)
- Maintain and update training material, consulting with subject matter experts (SME) on a regular basis to ensure information accuracy
- Evaluating individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance
- Track and report on all training aspects – including surveys, progress reports, etc.
Requirements
- 5 plus years of experience in sales and/or customer support training role
- Experience in a sales role a plus
- Experience delivering virtual learning
- Comfortable developing, learning and delivering different course content with limited support needed
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, organize several projects at once, and can quickly switch between tasks
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to gather and synthesize information across a number of different people and platforms
- High attention to detail
- Excellent organization skills
- Familiar with Disc Personality Types a plus
