The Challenge / About the Role

The Corporate Development Associate will serve as a key member of Qualtrics’ Strategy & Corporate Development team supporting our global M&A efforts. You will have the opportunity to work on a small team that drives a key area of growth for Qualtrics. This role is a highly visible position that interacts with Qualtrics’ most senior leaders.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent problem solver with a data driven mind set, and have outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. A clear track record of superb valuation and analytical capabilities, prior corporate development, investing banking or venture capital experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of the deal process, including sourcing, qualification, financial modeling, due diligence, and closing and integration planning activities.
  • Assist in strategic transaction planning and vetting efforts, including gathering input from cross-functional teams and incorporating comprehensive internal and external views into thoughtful insights and business cases for potential opportunities.
  • Partner with the business to identify potential M&A opportunities and articulate their contributions to Qualtrics’ strategic objectives.
  • Conduct holistic analyses to support decision making, including industry TAMS, competitive landscapes, business case and valuation modeling.
  • Establish a robust understanding of industry trends, emerging companies, and competitive knowledge in the experiment management and enterprise software markets.
  • Actively participate in enhancing group practices and processes that will enable Qualtrics to continue to build out our corporate development competency.

Qualifications / Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter. The right candidate has:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from a top tier school.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, including corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
  • Experience analyzing a wide variety of M&A transactions and performing rigorous financial and valuation analyses.
  • Strong understanding of key software / SaaS business metrics and KPIs, e.g., ACV / TCV, billings/bookings to revenue conversion, expansion rates, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills and familiarity with accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibility over time.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time without sacrificing work quality.
