India Technology Center (ITC) helps Growth centers of Xylem such as AWS, Transport, Dewatering, Treatment and Analytics and also to in wide range of activities that include Product & Application support, New Product Development, Value Engineering, Sustain Engineering and Software development. We partner with them to anticipate and respond to evolving business needs with innovation in sensing and communications technologies, data analytics and services.

Brief Description/Job Summary (this section is to be used for postings on social media outlets – examples below):

ITC Vadodara campus, seeks to hire a Lead Engineer/Sr. Engineer, in this position, the suitable candidate is responsible to work globally for various tasks like pump application & commercial support, Mechanical design calculation and other daily support on various projects. Lead Engineer/Sr.Engineer have to work from India technology Centre and have to coordinate with Global Engineers & leaders to ensure timely completion of the task given by the Xylem global engineering centers.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities – Preliminary Duties:

• Knowledge of pump, valves and control equipment per customer specifications.
• Read and interpret customer technical specifications.
• Review customer and/or internal drawings and figures to apply existing technologies and adapt as required to meet to customer specific needs
• Draft detailed drawings as per customer need
• Deliver assistance to internal groups such as Production, Tool Support/Logistics and Operations by creating and maintaining technical documentation in support of existing and new processes.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
• 5-8 years of experience in a mechanical design role & also mechatronics engineering

Required knowledge, skill & abilities:

• Able to perform routine tasks with minimal supervision; but also, able to work effectively within the team dynamic as required
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ensures client specifications are met and deliverables are issued in a timely manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively and accept feedback from internal groups
• Proactive approach to addressing problems and ability to recommend solutions
• Strong attention to detail required
• Excellent written, verbal communication and comprehension skills
• Excellent communication, Problem-solving, stakeholder relationship management and analytical & negotiation skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Co-ordination between Inter-company & Intra-Company people for execution and installation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Creo or 3D modelling software.
• Experience in working with ERP system for BOM creation and editing.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances.
• Practical knowledge of 3D printing
• Familiarity with FEA and CFD simulations
• Flexibility to work different schedules as needed to meet strict deadlines

Travel Requirement:

• Should be ready to travel and also do short term stays of 1 week to 3 months, both within the country and also globally. However, in special project/bubble assignment, the travel span can go from 3 months to 1 year.
