Cisco Meraki is searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in San Francisco! What You Will Do:

You are a dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a rapidly changing environment. You will oversee the GL accounting for Meraki’s legal entities including a broad spectrum of accounting areas to maintain general ledger as needed. Generate and interpret advanced financial records and statements for management. Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. Additional duties include:

  • Manage legal entities’ month end close, including preparing/reviewing important workbooks and journal entries, performing technical accounting research and memos, conducting financial analysis and coordinating among team members to ensure closing on time
  • Manage revenue accounting procedures including reviewing non-standard deals for all entities. Assist and support Meraki Software/License revenue accounting activities.
  • Partner with the operations team to ensure correct inventory/cost accounting
  • Manage intercompany accounts and review intercompany entries between Meraki and other Cisco entities.
  • Review financial records and statements and present financial statements fluctuation analysis to controller and CFO monthly
  • Review activities of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization to ensure reasonableness, accuracy, and completeness
  • Analyze financial data to prepare financial reports and prepare forecasts
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review those prepared by staff accountants
  • Manage and partner with external consultants to complete annual tax returns and foreign statutory statements/audits
  • Implement new accounting processes to support new business models and company growth, including country enablement initiatives
  • Participate in the system and application implementation processes, including design, implementation, test and troubleshoot.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Related field (Finance or Accounting preferred, CPA preferred)
  • 5 years of related experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit in medium to large multinational corporations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to Have Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Great Plains Accounting and Oracle
