We are looking for a Regional Merchant Associate in Austin to join our Outside Account Management team!
About the Role:
As a Regional Merchant Associate you will play a critical role by providing our Strategic Partner Managers with day-to-day assistance and supporting & ensuring overall Merchant success. You wi ll have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with our Merchants by providing excellent customer service, relationship management and strategic problem solving as you tackle our merchants’ most challenging problems
About the team:
Our Outside Account Management team is responsible for supporting and growing some of the best merchants in each city! This team plays a key part in establishing the merchant strategy and building strategic partnerships with high-profile merchant partners to improve revenue and win at the local level.
What you’ll do...
Assist regional outside account management team by ensuring merchant success in the following ways:
- Drive retention and overall merchant success through exceptional service and support
- Conduct hands-on trainings, oversee photoshoots and onboard our VIP regional merchant partners
- Help identify and troubleshoot merchant issues; track feedback to inform updates to existing tools and resources
- Proactive communication to Strategic Partner Managers and regional leadership regarding project progress and results
- Build relationships with merchant stakeholder teams and act as merchant subject matter expert
- Develop a deep expertise in how DoorDash processes, systems and resources work, and how to use them to promote positive outcomes for our Merchants
- Identify gaps in processes and partner with management to streamline for maximum efficiency
- Proactive data analysis to help the team more quickly understand regional trends and unlock opportunities (SQL not required but willingness to learn is!)
- Support regional revenue growth efforts and initiatives
- Alignment with regional goals; assist with tasks and strategic initiatives that pertain to the region
- Handle merchant outreach for goal sprints in partnership with Strategic Partner Managers and Strategic Account Development Representatives
- Proactive business audits for operational efficiency and drive revenue growth (i.e. photos, hours, tags, etc.). Unlock opportunities to optimize store menu pages (i.e. menu optimization to increase attach rates).

- Internship experience or 6 months + prior relevant working experience
- Ability to understand and communicate operations processes
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze data (Excel and SQL knowledge strongly preferred)
- An ability to learn fast and juggle competing priorities
- Approach tasks with the mindset of an owner in whatever you do
