Network Deployment Engineer

Job Description

The Gogo Business Aviation Network Deployment Engineer will work closely with the Network Deployment Management team to ensure technology deployment plans are executed, as designed, on time and under the stipulated budget. The candidate will be responsible for managing construction and procuring general contractors for site builds, as well as interfacing with site acquisition, outside engineering & design service vendors.

How will you make a difference?

• Request bids for site construction and provide recommendation for general contractor selection
• Manage all phases of site construction, as per Gogo’s Scope of Work
• Manage and update deployment tracking tools
• Manage the site closeout documentation from Vendors and make sure it is filed
• Internal and cross-functional reporting
• Manage equipment purchase and equipment movement in Nav15 per company guidelines

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in a technical area such as architecture, civil engineering or management / project management OR
• Minimum of 5-year experience similar position for wireless network rollouts
• 10+ years of experience in the deployment of RF communications networks, cell sites, base stations, antenna arrays, specifically tasks related to site acquisition, zoning, & project management
• This position may require additional hours on nights and weekends to accommodate client needs
• Up to 30% travel required
• This position can be located in Chicago, IL or Broomfield, CO

• Understanding of RF communication networks
• Clear understanding of and ability to read and interpret documents such as Site Plans, technical specifications, manuals, and other technical documents
• Ability to write coherent routine reports
• Ability to think and create in a fast moving, dynamic and environment
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Ability to listen, discern and resolve issues with a sense of urgency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel and Power Point
• Ability to work with cross-functional stake holders
• Ability to lead and manage meetings
• Ability to adjust to changes and Gogo’s open and dynamic culture

Compensation: $81,000 - $101,000

Target Annual Incentive: 10% of base compensation
