We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Operations Manager to help us shape and execute a best in class HR service across the UK, Ireland Australia employee population. This role will be instrumental in managing and building a robust HR Services function; supporting the business with all onboard, payroll, benefits and employee relations, ensuring business values and goals are achieved by creating a 'best in class’ operation.
The successful HR Operations Manager will have proven experience of managing a successful HR Support function and service delivery model and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of operational HR, employment law and process improvement.
This individual will be responsible for developing, operationalising and deploying the people operations across the UK, Ireland and Australia based Just Eat Teams. With a People first mentality, the Regional HR Operations Manager will be able to implement a change program that delivers a world-class employee service proposition and experience across the moments that matter.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the HR Operations Admin and Employee Relations specialist teams, defining team goals, individual objectives and driving high performance and engagement
- Serve as a subject matter expert and act as a point of escalation to leadership, the HR team, managers and employees on employee relations, people policies and people governance matters.
- Identify efficiency gaps in our HR process and procedures and redesigning them as appropriate in order to achieve a high level of efficiency and productivity and leading improvement initiatives
- Establish service level agreements (SLAs) for the delivery of our key HR processes and employee relations performance metrics and reporting
- Working closely with the people leadership team and international people partners to create a consistent approach to employee relations
- Lead the development, revision and management of local people HR policies in line with business needs collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as required
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation, alongside ensuring compliance at a country level and operating autonomously with local HR procedures and policies
- Work with HR centres of excellence such as Reward and Talent Acquisition to implement and execute HR processes along each step of the employee lifecycle for a seamless employee experience
- Ensure compliance and accurate completion of local legislative and statutory reporting including supporting the risk and audit teams in the creation, maintenance and reporting of people governance
Required skills and experience
- Significant HR operations experience; specifically management of policy, process, governance and ER matters
- Ability to objectively coach business leaders, employees and managers through complex cases
- Strong understanding of UK and European employment law in line with the application of core HR principles
- An eye for identifying and optimising people processes
- Commercial acumen, and ability to apply to people related solutions
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver an agenda built on constant improvement
- Track record of team management, high performance, and team building skills
- Strong personal credibility and ability to influence across senior leadership
