Job Description

Due to the current health crisis related to COVID-19 and the escalating visa/travel restrictions in place, we're currently unable to extend offers to anyone who cannot work from Taiwan due to lockdown visa/travel restrictions, or other restrictive measures until further notice. Consequently, we will be prioritizing candidates who can start in this location by set date as expected. Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience with C or C++.

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Knowledge of processor design and/or accelerator designs.
• Experience with hardware/software co-design, designs of digital logic at the Register Transfer Level (RTL).
• Experience applying computer architecture principles to solve open-ended problems.

Developing an Accelerator ASIC is a complex task that requires an understanding of Software workloads, pain points in implementation, and effective partitioning of the workload between a general purpose machine and a hardware accelerator. To estimate the benefits of hardware acceleration, an abstracted model of the accelerator is useful to analyze.

Responsibilities

• Develop power and performance microbenchmarks, roofline models for chip power and performance characterization.
• Develop and maintain performance regression, debug and dashboard.
• Maintain correlation of performance across RTL, architecture models, and silicon.
• Pre-silicon and post-silicon power analysis and measurements, including correlation for methodology tuning.
