University Recruiting – Technical Recruiter and Talent Partner

Expectations

● Seamlessly connect high potential candidates with hiring teams and provide an exceptional candidate experience through full hiring cycle

● Strategically p artner and advise leaders in making data- d riven decisions based on historical data and new trends

● Collaborate with team members and business leaders to understand the talent needs and develop immediate and long - term candidate pipelines

● Conduct strategy sessions and quart erly reevaluations for all roles to understand talent needs, priorities, and desired skill sets

● Evaluate candidates through behavioral based interviews to assess and select qualified candidates aligned with business needs and cultural competencies

● Critically evaluate hiring processes to optimize the university recruiting function and help create a best-in-class team

● Participate in the planning and execution of Viasat’s summer internship recruiting event and activity calendar

● S ource for hard‐to‐fill roles through use of our existing tools, university partnerships, and external resources , and propose creative recruiting strategies for these roles

● Grow and m aintain pipeline of diverse candidates qualified in previous seasons to re-engage in following season

● Partner with University Recruiting and events teams in the planning and execution of large-scale conferences on an as-needed basis

Requirements

● A minimum of 2 years working in full-cycle talent acquisition

● Ability to think strategically and consider the long-term goals of the talent strategy

● Desire to work cross functionally within an organization and influence others through data-based recommendations

● Extremely flexible, proactive, and able to shift priorities as needed

● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to work with an agile team

● Experience working with a high volume of requisitions

● Patience and confidence to work through ambiguous situations

● Interest in researching and understanding business needs and existing talent markets

Preferences

● Experience working in University Recruitment, including knowledge of internship programming

● Skilled in various strategies for sourcing and filling technical roles

● Experience with an ATS, EMS, CRM (preferably Avature)

● Technical recruiting experience

● Knowledge of recruiting best practices and compliance guidelines

● Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel
