Your Role and Responsibilities
The candidate for the position of Procurement Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) Portfolio Leader will have extensive experience in Procurement, contracting and global supply chain management.
The ideal candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of M&A strategies, including acquisition and divestiture due diligence experience, acquisition integration and supply chain transition for divestitures, complex supplier issues, legal, intellectual property law principles, supply contracting methodologies and an advanced knowledge of analytical techniques (price volume matrix, quote analysis, project management business cases, etc.).
The M&A Portfolio Leader is responsible to ensure Day 1 continuity of supply for acquisitions and divestitures. Strong client communication and project management skills are required for effective creation and implementation of M&A sourcing and transitional strategies for internal and external stake holders.
In addition, the M&A Portfolio leader must perform effective stakeholder and supplier relationship management and will provide cross communication to assist Corporate Development clients with timely issue resolution. This position reports to the IBM M&A Procurement Manager.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Extensive procurement experience including supply chain integration and transition and supplier contract management.
  • 5-10 years of procurement experience.
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 7+years of procurement experience.
  • JD is preferred.
  • High level of knowledge of IBM's Global Procurement Organization
