Your Role and Responsibilities
#Mainframe DBDC Systems Programmer:
​Responsibilities:
DBDC specialist is responsible for planning and performing installation and version upgrade of middleware products (DB2, CICS, MQ, IMS) on mainframe platform. In addition, he/she should understand the complexities of infrastructure design and maintenance, be able to analyze architecture and security issues, and perform advanced troubleshooting.
• Installation and version upgrade of DB/DC systems (DB2, CICS, Websphere MQ, IMS) and related products from IBM or ISV (Omegamon, Db2 Tool admin,..)
• DB/DC systems maintenance, objects definition
• Architecture analysis and design
• Performance monitoring and tuning
• Performing advanced troubleshooting
• Security issues analysis and defect prevention
• Root cause analysis
• Multi-environment knowledge of supported systems, maintaining operational documentation.

• Technical background
• Good knowledge of relational databases
• SQL language knowledge and skills
• Capability to work independently and effectively in complex environments
• Basic experience in troubleshooting and resolving database related problems
