Cross-functional collaboration is deeply meaningful to us and is how we’ve built up immense trust with our partners in Marketing and Engineering.

About the Role

In this role, you will be a member of a team that develops and applies cutting edge techniques to quantify the impact of marketing spend and inform decisions about our large and growing investment in growth marketing. You will work with business partners to understand their needs, and define manual and automatic processes that provide them with timely and actionable insights. Through this experience, you will identify new approaches to forecasting and/or optimization that preserve and enhance our competitive advantage.

  • Have access to a wealth of unique data and best-in-class algorithms, providing a solid foundation to build on
  • Work collaboratively to build a platform for scientific discovery in this domain
  • Advance the state of the art by developing novel algorithms to model marketing spend phenomena, and/or recommend optimal actions based on those phenomena
  • Be a data steward, ensuring that our raw inputs, intermediate results, and finished data products are accessible and useful in perpetuity

We’re excited about you because you have...

  • 3+ years work experience in a data science role
  • An advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or other quantitative field
  • Experience in numerical optimization and/or Bayesian forecasting
  • Built systems that forecast or recommend decisions under massive uncertainty
  • Managed evolving data delivery processes, balancing short-term and long-term delivery expectations through judicious use of automation
  • Production data science experience, i.e. not just fitting a model but being held accountable for rigor and reliability in production
  • Strong, cross-functional communication skills that help business partners make the best possible use of available data
  • Familiarity with collaborative development of object-oriented software.
