Job Description

About the Team

The People & Culture team is committed to creating a fulfilling and inspiring place to work for all of the people who deliver that client experience - from our warehouse team to tech talent to merchants to stylists. We pride ourselves on creating a fun and collaborative environment where we solve problems together. We are looking for bright and kind people and culture leaders who are motivated by challenge to join our team.

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team at Stitch Fix is responsible for the company’s vision and strategy for driving equitable outcomes across functions. Since its founding, Stitch Fix has prioritized principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion and is now focused on explicitly bringing those principles into a cross-company strategy. Our team will lead that work. We prioritize centering the voices of the most marginalized groups, partner to design systems that are optimized for equity, and co-create content and programming to build DEI capacity across the company. We are equal parts advisors and doers, and we hold ourselves and our partners across the company accountable for driving systemic change.

About the Role

As DEI Manager, you will work closely with the Director, DEI, cross-functional partners, and leaders across the company to sharpen and embed aspects of Stitch Fix’s DEI strategy in everything we do. You will bring your systems mindset and strong influencing skills to guide partners across the company to re-imagine their work through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion - from internal people practices, to product assortment, to how we show up to our clients. Your DEI subject matter expertise and skill working through complex problems will allow you to co-design strategies that address root causes of inequity across the company.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Be an integral part of building Stitch Fix’s DEI function
  • Bring thought leadership, tailored insights, and strategic perspective to fostering inclusion, increasing diversity, and designing equitable systems across our global team
  • Partner with clients (other functions within Stitch Fix) to embed company-wide DEI strategies into their priorities and execution
  • Co-create DEI specific accountability structures & frameworks alongside partners across the People & Culture team

We’re excited about you because...

  • You have subject matter expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • You have been responsible for developing/implementing significant components of an organization’s DEI strategy
  • You are able to successfully influence change across functions and levels
  • You have effectively designed change management initiatives
  • You are able to transform ambiguous problems into strategies and solutions
  • You are excited to advise and consult, but you also love to roll up your sleeves and do the work
  • Candidates with these skills often have 7+ years of relevant experience, but depth of skill and role related competence is more important to us than years of experience

Why you’ll love working at Stitch Fix

  • We are a group of people who are bright, kind and motivated by challenge. You can be your authentic self here, and are empowered to encourage others to do the same!
  • We are a successful, fast-growing company at the forefront of tech and fashion, redefining retail for the next generation
  • We are a technologically and data-driven business
  • We are committed to our clients and connected through our vision of “Transforming the way people find what they love”
  • We love solving problems, thinking creatively and trying new things
  • We believe in autonomy & taking initiative
  • We are challenged, developed and have meaningful impact
  • We take what we do seriously. We don’t take ourselves seriously
  • We have a smart, experienced leadership team that wants to do it right & is open to new ideas
  • We offer competitive compensation packages and comprehensive health benefits
  • You will be proud to say that you work for Stitch Fix and will know that the work you do brings joy to our clients every day
