Your Role and Responsibilities
Cloud Native Developers are part of a cross-functional team that delivers a unique client co-creation experience to accelerate client transformation. You are expected to:
Uses contemporary technologies and approaches to design, develop, test, and deliver Cloud-based solutions
Applies a user-centric approach to ensure all included features add value for the user and achieve desired client impact
Understands the nuances of different cloud solutions (hybrid, public, private, multi-cloud, on prem) and implications for solution design
Understands the relationship among various technologies and architectures and how they contribute to an overall solution
Deep understanding of complex large scale multi region solutions that are utilizing multiple independent life cycle microservices

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Hands-on software engineering role
Using agile practices
Client facing role
Demonstrates a growth mindset and continuous learning; stays current on IBM strategy and offerings with understanding of technical principles of Docker and Kubernetes
Demonstrates strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills combined with keen desire to develop quality code in and Agile process
Designs, codes, and tests innovative component-level solutions in areas such as cloud foundation, could services, cloud management applications, machine learning, computational linguistics, natural language processing and security applications
Works in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand stakeholder requirements
Uses DevOps practices and methods to plan and create software applications
Design Thinking to create products that provide a great user experience with high performance, security, quality, and stability;

Impactful Relationships:
Creates strong, collaborative client relationships that invoke trust and confidence in the team’s ability to deliver
Maintains a strong technical network within IBM and the client, including solution architects, product owners and offering managers
Is a vocal advocate within the developer community and relevant Open Source communities, sharing best practices and advice
Works closely with development on design and implementation to make recommendations to ensure multi-platform support through test driven development
Strategic Innovation:
Turns ideas into reality with a focus on innovation and development of new technology
Facilitates quality and security driven design; develops and unit tests code fixes, leads process to debug customer-reported problems
Proactively identifies and files patentable technology
