Thomson Reuters Foundation is currently recruiting for a Business Processes Analyst to join our TrustLaw team in London. Reporting to the Head of Programmes of TrustLaw, this role will project manage the transformation of the TrustLaw service through the enhancement our digital outlets and, in particular, the TrustLaw portal –from a simple digital platform through which we connect high-impact NGOs and social enterprises with free legal assistance from leading law firms and corporate legal teams, into an interactive ecosystem that also offers opportunities for learning, knowledge-sharing, innovation, networking and collaboration. This role will be instrumental in leading and defining key business, technical and functional requirements to improve and future proof the delivery of the TrustLaw service across the world.

In this role, the Associate Project Manager/Technical Business Processes Analyst will work closely with the TrustLaw and Product & Technology teams of the Thomson Reuters Foundation on delivering the next version of TrustLaw digital outlets and its best-of-breed practices. The role will operationally manage internal/external business and technology partners, contractors and vendors to ensure delivery of all components of the project.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about improving a successful, global pro bono legal service that helps NGOs, social enterprises and lawyers drive social change.

This is a fixed term one-year contract based in London.

About the Role

As an Associate Project Manager/Technical Business Processes Analyst for TrustLaw at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will:

  • Serve as primary liaison between the Foundation teams and project funders, partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries, and manage the day-to-day relationships with these parties
  • Manage internal project communications and relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Hold responsibility for financial oversight of the project, including budgeting and forecasting, by coordinating with the Foundation finance team and the project funders and partners
  • Develop project plans and implementation strategy for the project
  • Aggregate information from data collection efforts and other inputs that will inform the project (e.g., needs assessment, member consultations and focus groups, etc.)
  • Create a detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) business analysis (as-is / to-be) for the TrustLaw service and user experience
  • Plan and monitor all TrustLaw SOPs and workflow, and be custodian of all TrustLaw SOP and workflow documentation
  • Outline problems, opportunities and business process improvements for the TrustLaw programme and define TrustLaw’s digital platform business requirements
  • Identify and prioritize technical and functional requirements for the TrustLaw programme and report them into IT documentation for relevant stakeholders (TrustLaw and Product & Technology teams)
  • Review development plans, wireframes, and other documentation prepared by the Product & Technology team and test functionality to provide feedback and ensure they meet requirements and align with TrustLaw’s programmatic goals
  • Report of risks log and ways to minimize them to TrustLaw management
  • Manage launch event(s) for the new TrustLaw portal, coordinating content, agenda, logistics and attendees

To be our Associate Project Manager/Technical Business Processes Analyst , you will likely have:

  • Experience scoping, planning, testing, and project managing platform development projects
  • Demonstrable project or programme management skills, and experience with monitoring and evaluation and with budget and financial management
  • Proven track record of business and SOPs analysis (as-is, to-be) and writing functional and technical specification documentation
  • Proven track records of data analysis, workflow and diagram drawing and visualization
  • Understanding of networks, databases, and other technology
  • Knowledge of building digital ecosystem, systems and/or content management systems
  • Experience building and managing relationships with multiple project stakeholders, including funders, cross-division teams and external parties, such as tech vendors.

It may also be useful if you also have:

  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Cloud Architecture
  • Certified Agile Scrum Master
  • Prince 2 or similar Project Management qualifications
  • Certified Business Analysis and/or Project Management formal qualifications
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio
  • Experience with digital projects dealing with DotCMS, any other CMS, Mobile Apps
